1- The mic in James' face in 8
2- Most of these strike me as too centered. I would try framing with the rule of thirds. Makes for a stronger composition.

thanks cosmo. I'll keep that in mind for the next show.
the pit was the penalty boxes. due to the pyro, we weren't allowed in the actual pit.
the stage was center ice and a large oval. absolutely massive stage.

It's an arena and primarily used for hockey, though lots of concerts are held there as well.

Metallica usually plays in sports field, which I love because the stage is right dab in the middle.
Also the guys are huge sports fans.

I agree with the centered part and on a few of them that could be fixed with a crop.
