Hi. The bear shots on the website were two years ago. I am in the middle of my Alaskan adventure w my fiancé and we just finished the bear portion.

The bear photo above was taken of a bear running from another bear...more later. 1dx is amazing.

He is actually running towards you saying "OMG!!!!! Is that the 1DX ? Lemme see, lemme see...."

I am currently touring around the Outer Hebrides. Here are a few from the last couple of days.

No Dwight, not yet.

Thanks, Rich, just got my first one today and the firmware thread just points to Canon which didn't seem to have anything but they can get confused and/or behind the times.

I posted a separate thread but got no responses. Can someone give me a quick tutorial on how to "flash" the AF point when in AI Servo mode with spot-meter-linked-to-AF point? I shoot concerts with lots of dark and it seems the AF illumination makes it very difficult to impossible to see. I have read a couple of items suggesting that associating the M-fn2 button with a function will do this but I can't seem to get it, sigh. [Getting old sucks, but I guess it beats the alternative.]

Great set. It really shows how critical high FPS can be for these moments. I'm really jealous I can't afford a 1dx right now, as I would have one heck of a fun time shooting with it.
