No one has addressed the pose. When shooting a small group you should attempt to their heads closer together. possibly have the Father kneel down.

rrblint Listen! .... do you smell something? ![]() More info | Aug 21, 2012 11:33 | #17 John37 wrote in post #14886941 ![]() It was shot at f16. ISO was already at 800. I clearly could've done better but I was in a hurry and didn't have time to mess with it too much. One day I will be able to shoot and take my time. lol I did use my 560's for this. In hindsight, tri-pod, earlier shooting, and more time setting up would've been the difference between how it is now, and how it could've been. I learned a lot from just this one shot! Thanks again! I think that if you had used f9-f10 and reduced the flash output by 1 1/3- 1 2/3 stops(this would also defocus the background slightly, putting more emphasis on you and your kids) the picture would have been perfect...Great looking kids BTW...There's always next time. I would have used prob f 5.6, and adjusted my shutter speed and iso by metering the background so it is exposed how I like, this would have potentially allowed a faster shutter speed depending on your iso. Then I would have adjusted flash power manually to expose the subjects. 7d, 100-400L, 17-40L, 24-105L, 85 1.8, 50 1.4, 580exii, 430exii, AB 800, reflectors/lightstands/modifiers.
