This is a nice lens for everyday use in good light, but I'm still searching for a good (affordable) landscape lens.

Bird show at 85mm 50% crop.

Did you have a look at the Sigma 10-20 mm F4,0-5,6 EX DC HSM?

Yes thats a nice lens. I use to have a Tokina 12-24 and now I use the Tamron 10-24.
I'm still waiting for a verry affordable Canon f/1.8 10mm :)

We were at the NJ shore last month, and I took this picture of my new car one night when everything was just perfect. The light in the night sky, it's reflection off the car, etc., all combined to make this a nice keeper. Minimal PP with PSE. If I could make one change, it'd be that mailbox.

I love all the beautiful shots posted here. They show how great this lens is in the right light and even in the twilight. I have to admit I enjoy the threads that bash this lens and say only the 17-55 f/2.8 is worth using on a crop camera. This thread proves them wrong, over and over.

Thanks for all the photo posts, everyone. I'll get out to shot more here in a few weeks.... after it cools down a bit and the scheduled hurricanes pass by.
