Hello guys! Haven't been here for a while - finals were pretty busy :) Recently I was shooting at a small local music festival and thought I'd share some pics with you and hear the opinions :) All advices and thoughts are most welcome! I would especially appreciate some thoughts on the last one - generally I like it, but I wonder if I am maybe the only one..?

I think you captured the mood of the event very well here. Some pics aren't perfectly sharp, but I imagine the lighting was pretty low. I think the last one is your best. I love the way the spotlights provide leading lines from different angles, all pointing at your subject. Nicely done.

The last shot *is* excellent. Personally, I might try to tone down the red just a wee bit, but other than that, I have no complaints.

Wow, thank you guys! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks the last one is good :)

gibbit1: Well the lighting was really crappy, plus the lighting guy used red a lot -.- But thats what you have to deal with when shooting a concert, right? :)

CSMFoto: Thank you! The shutter speed was around 1/100s..some are 1/80, some 1/125..I tried to increase the iso but I ended up sacrificing the speed, since 2000 ISO gets kinda ugly on 7D, so I went with 1600.

Ahhh gotcha. I try to keep mine around 1/200 so I can catch some of the crazy headbanging from guitarists with long hair or wild movement's they pull off. It's tough in a venue that is not too main stream for obvious reasons....LIGHTS! haha
