Tony, I think you should try that Zeiss 35mm lens(e) and see if it solves your issues.

manipula wrote in post #14895475 (external link)
The sense of sarcasm is strong here... ;)

I think the answer is to move to MF that would solve all my photography issues :)

In all seriousness its not the gear, its lack of new scenes and lack of desire to get out and about. Half a$$ed attitudes = half a$$ed results.
Photography is no longer a passion that it once was.

Life at moment is about paying mortgage, keeping out of OD, getting teenagers through high school and looking after my wife. Any spare time is a bonus. But arnt a lot of us in the same boat?

Yep, I know exactly what you mean. I also don't seem to have time for any creative stuff any longer.
And why go half measures with just a Medium Format.

I personally think you should be looking at full!

First play with master slave RT on out new 600EX-RTs... first impressions... AWESOME!!

I love the beep feature that lets you know when the remote flash(es) are cycled and ready to go!

I've been using the Phottix Odins for about a year now, makes off camera flash a lot more fun and versatile.

So long and thanks for all the flash

Not as useful as being able to control every function of every single flash from your camera I bet ;)

That's what the Odin does :)
Full E-TTL or Manual control from the camera, including head zoom and HSS.

So long and thanks for all the flash

No, it's very similar to the canon set up with the new transmitter that works with the 600ex, only it came out last year.

The ability to control a flash on the camera from the camera came out with the 5d2 and words on most ex flashes.

So long and thanks for all the flash

This image was taken with a Olympus G.Zuiko 50mm on my 40D, with manual focus

One thing for sure, having a smaller viewfinder doesn't help with focusing, when you get it bang on it's nice and the colours are defiantly softer. Not in a bad way tho

Sounds a familiar story that we all fall in and out of from time to time.
Self motivation can be a **** when you feel buggered after work.
Spend a little time on yourself to get back into shape with regular sleeping, eating etc and you'll find that your photography juices will start to flow again.

In 5 years mine will be all grown up and at uni or employed. My camera will be 10 yrs old then I might be able to afford an upgrade
