CLP label question

I received my CLP camera along with a single packing list with 2 attached, identical labels. Each has the order number and a blank line for an RMA #.

Are these labels only to return the camera I received back to the "Returns Department" if I decide not to keep it? I thought I was supposed to receive a label to ship the broken camera to the "Recycling Department". Was I supposed to receive an RMA for the old camera or leave that blank?

Thanks in advance!

The Recyling label is different than the RMA Label.

Just to clear something up, what camera did you get and what discount came under the CLP. A few months back the discount was supposedly lowered from 20% to 10%.

I would assume the 60D that he has "On the way!: 60D w/ 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS" in his signature.

You should have received the return label for the broken camera in an e-mail, not in the package with your new camera. You should have 3 e-mails from Canon from when you ordered your camera, and one of them is the recylcling/return label. (I ordered from CLP a few weeks ago)

I just received one label which I set aside and soon forgot about. I never received a packing slip and I doubted how they could keep track of returned cameras by the very tiny print in the return address in the shipping label.

Long story short: It has now been 9 mos. since I bought my 7D through the CLP. I never sent in the junk camera and I have never heard any complaints from Canon.

Sorry for the delay in reporting back.

Yes, it was the 60D w/ 18-135 kit lens, 20% off, plus tax (roughly 8.5% for my area).

As katgrl82 said, I was supposed to have received a third email with a link to print off the label. For some reason, that email never made it.

I was hesitant calling at CLP back because the first time I had called must have been a very busy day. I was on hold for 40 minutes before I got to talk to someone. This time my call was answered immediately after going through the menu selection. The Canon rep resent the email which was received about 2 hours later. Within hours after that my junk camera was dropped off at a UPS Store, just so I wouldn't forget.

Canon doesnt email me ever anymore. No order confirmation, no tracking, no CLP label. This has been consistent over the last 3-4 CLP cameras Ive ordered. Ive only sent in a camera once.
