Been a while since I posted anything here. And also been a while since I have taken sunset shots. But a very hot night last week had the wife and I heading to the beach in the evening to cool off a bit.

All 3 are from Long Beach CA near Temple and Ocean.
Thanks for looking and any comments or crits.

those look fantastic! Long Beach you say? I need to actually head down there and shoot more often. Only moments from my house.

Cool, I am only about 8 miles from this spot myself. I think with the right conditions (esp. some clouds) LB can produce some really nice sunsets.

Thank you both! @Skybaby, glad the pp looks good. I was wondering if I over did the saturation a bit (although I really didn't up it much, it was a very bight colorful sunset.)

All three are commendible. KUDOS to you.

Have plenty of Canons, enough ammo, enough to blow 'em to "L". Now, I just have to learn to aim.

Wow. Great shots. Is the middle one an HDR? I like the two underexposed images. The lighting in those is dramatic and the compressed telephoto view really brings the eye into the details. Nice work.

Yes #2 is HDR, All shot with the kit lens (18-55). #1 & 3 being closer to the 50mm mark, #2 at 18mm. Thanks for the kind comments. And as a habit (whether good or bad) I usually shoot sunsets at 2 stops under from the reading.
