Has anyone had any dealings with the website www.riderPIX.com (external link) ? It looks like a good site but is it a case of too good to be true.

I have not heard of this site. What is the "too good to be true" part of the site?

They will provide you with marketing material, flyers etc free of charge. Sell your pictures at rates that you specify. All this free? The sale price of each picture is 50/50 with the photographer/riderPIX.

They appear to only operate in Europe so that is probably why you have not heard of them.

It's not "free" they take a 50% commission on any sales

Still not seeing "too good to be true"
The site is vague on usage. The images I seen were average. The free marketing materials promote them not me.
What is the target market for these images? The end consumer or media? The home page of the site seemed to be promoting to photographers.
For the service they seem to be providing 50% is more then double then what I currently pay.
Maybe I am missing it.

50% is not good at all.
