This is one of the lenses I wish I could have brought with me to full frame..

Loved how light and small it was and easy to carry.

Im now wondering if I should ditch my 24 2.8 since this covers the range. The prime should be sharper so I guess Ill have to test that out.

i might just add that the tamron at 24mm has zero distortion and is probably at its sharpest. Test it first before you think of selling your prime though. The only problem i have with the tamron is that it does not respond well to flare. So if youre shooting into the sun you may want to hold on to the prime. This is definately one of the niche lenses one can ever buy for a crop camera

yes it comes with a petal type hood. use it as much as you can because as i said earlier, this lens does not like flare

QUOTED IMAGE

absolutely stunning photographs...... on a rebel XS? I just sold my 17-50 2.8 and awaiting the arrival of a 30mm and 50mm 1.4 prime....... I know it was a good lens, but I didn't know it was quite this good.... Still, no looking back (wife wouldn't let me dare) hehe..
