couple of used but good condition on amazon starting @ 379, if the digital rev copy is new then i would snag it up. its a great deal considering msrp new is 489 in most cases

I'll have to go for it then. Thanks!

I see that you also have a Tamron 18-270mm with a T2i. How is that lens working for you?

I like it, pretty versatile, great very quiet motor, IQ is good, nothing jaw dropping, but when you need a all in one walk around lens, it is a great choice

Shot during the diamond Jubilee on Hatherleigh moor back in June. I'm going to miss this lens. Just upgraded to a 5DII, its a shame its not compatible with FF.

^ Splendid! Especially love the look of the second one.

Followed a couple of bands around for three days. They let me take pictures and ride with them!

Hmm, what was the aperture setting on this photo? You must have stopped down quite a bit, right? I almost feel like it should have either been a lot more open to get a much more blurry background or even more stopped down so that everything would be in focus for this shot in particular. The building in the back is just not blurry enough for it to be blurry at all--that's just my 2 cents though :) it's a nice picture, nonetheless.

....or is it just that the depth of focus is not very shallow with this 30mm lens unless really close to the subject? I haven't gotten mine yet, so haven't played around with one.

It's stopped down at f10, but focused on the flowers... maybe I should have put the focus somewhere in the middle to try keep everything in focus.

Here's a shot with the aperture wider (3.2), but I think I prefer the one at f10 more:
