Prices are dropping! Could it signal something new on the horizon?

Something new is always around the corner, especially with Photokina coming in 3 weeks. I think these deals are a result of supply and demand.

Yep, they're announcing the 5DIV, for $2000 :p

You get about $57 dollars in Ebay bucks also (which you can spend on anything you want. They expire, so don't forget about them :)

*sigh*...now I've got to sell the 7D and 17-55, AND get either the 24-105 or 24-70. Lot's of transactions to take place in the next few days.

I'm in the exact same position you're in, except I'm gonna wait on buying a zoom for the 5dm3. I'm just gonna rely on either my 50 or 85 lens to take event portraits, depending on venue. I don't wanna get the 24-105 because it's too slow. I don't wanna get the 24-70 because version II is looming, and I wanna wait on that to come out and garner a few reviews before I take the plunge on that (probably early part of next year).

I guess my other option is to keep the 7d and 17-55 for now.....
