I use spot metering quite a bit which allows you to lighten or darken the exposure by "spotting" on a light or dark area to get the exposure to your liking then lock it at that setting then point the camera on something you want in focus press the shutter button half way then re-adjust for getting the area you want in the picture (if necessary) then press the shutter button the rest of the way down. It actually allows you to finely adjust the exposure with out using the +/- button. SX10is, S90, d5100 (35mm1.8, 18-55mm, 55-200mm), d750 (28-300mm, 50mm 1.8, 35-70mm 2.8, 24-120mm f/4, 85mm 1.8G), EOS-M5 (EF-M 15-45mm, 18-150mm, EF 40mm 2.8), RX10mk4

WOW, after uploading to TinyPic.com and posting it here, this pic looks like crap compared to how it looks on my desktop wallpaper. The wallpaper is super crisp, this is just dull and blurry What I got: 7D, 17-55f2.8is, 70-200f2.8isMKii, 430exII, 430exII, S100

Sep 06, 2012 19:25 | #820 I just got the S100 today and I am already impressed by the IQ and quality of the build. Here is a building near my office that I shot yesterday with a T3i and 40mm Pancake, and the same building today with the S100. The S100 shot is on an overcast, rainy day, the T3i is in sunlight, with slightly different angles. Processed both about the same, one shot "normal" one with a preset that creates a 'painterly" look.
