My mate Stu owns Sevenoaks art shop, they do allsorts of frames for allsorts of budgets, he will do you an excellent job

Has he got a website Mark as I'm always on the look out for frames and it would be good to be able to compare prices from where I normally get them.

That's correct - but Adrian is using a hybrid drive and a full blown SSD. In your case, fresh install is what you need to ensure that TRIM configures properly. It worked for Ian using Macrium but it is not the recommended way. TBH, I'd had a few when I tried to help Ian and I missed the fact he was cloning from HDD to SSD

Thanks for the clarification Jon - as always a great help :)

Eh!!!! ;) I ran some drive read right speeds on mine and it ran at SATA2 speeds as my lappy is only SATA2 so I think it all worked OK. how do I know if TRIM is working then...or had I already unwittingly confirmed it is.

There's no real way to check but if it's running fine, then it must be working.

Had a great day at the Paralympics at the stadium. Saw some truly inspiring athletes competing. On the photography front, my Canon G9 did exceptionally well even though i was sitting in the upper tier of the stadium i still got a few good shots.

Nice Paralympic pics Laurence, I'm really excited about going Wednesday!

Think I'm gonna take a 200mm lens and a fisheye and see how I get on :)

There seemed to be quite a few people with point and shoots, i didnt see many big lens in the stadium. I was worried about not getting my 100-400mm in safely so i took my smaller Canon G9 instead of taking my 7D and assorted lens's. I think you should be ok.

I've seen lots of 70-200 f/2.8s & 100-400mm on tv in the crowd, so I should be alright, I'll probably take the teleconverter with me just in case ;)
