Great shot! I don't see any scars on her face. Maybe it's just the expression on her face that makes her look like a bruiser. Her nose looks fine, she's just got it tweaked to one side.Sniffing you out?

This has to be 1 of the coolest bear shots I've ever seen. It's like they stopped and posed intentionally so you could get the shot.

The are a few tour guides here on the island, I am going with Gary from Aboriginal Adventures. Eight hours on the boat, through all the passage islands etc, there will be orcas( residents and a few transients) sea lions, seals, eagles and others. I am a little worried about the number of bears we may see though, as the salmon run missed us big time.

Nice photo, Sadly for me I went to alaska a few years back and did not see one bear the entire time I was there. salomon run was not happening when projected and no sightings of bear for me. Tuor gudie was really bummed out for me!
