i hate to say it, but apparently, on average, 5D3 owners are more skilled photographers than 1Dx owners

I don't surf everything out there, but this thread has the best variety, creativity, technical skill, and overall good vibe of any that I look at.

I have to agree. This thread is in a league of its own. Nice work, everyone! :D

I've been really busy lately but finally got some time to actually snap some pics inside the house. Coming from the 7D, I giggled like a school girl when I realized that some of these shots were at ISO 12,800 and 25,600. I'm honestly giddy about my next chance to use this thing at a night wedding/reception.

Thanks, got the Orthopaedic surgeon on Thursday, hoping for good news, at the moment a one legged life sucks.

Don't you owe us a box photo?:D

Aye carrumba! Are you going to be hassling me about that, too?! ;)

Working on it. I need wider glass. I sold off all my gear within the last year (excuse the rhyming) and, now that I picked this monster up, need to replenish. It'll happen, don't worry. I can't break a tradition like that! :D

Anybody here gone from a 1D3 to a 5D3 and have impressions to share. I love my 1D3 but think it's time to upgrade, can't afford the 1D-x, but some say the 5D3 still isn't the "pro build" of the 1D3, doesn't have the shutter for pro shooting... etc. I don't think I buy those stories, so just wondering if somebody made the change what they thought?

While I'm not exactly in your boat, I did consider the 1D3 for a loooong time before buying the 5D mk II. Having said that, I'm reasonably confident that the 5D III would knock your socks off.
