Really good shots there.

Any idea what the lever is on the right bar end?

Thanks!

It's a guard to prevent any incidental rider-to-rider contact from hitting the front brake lever, which can cause some seriously dangerous crashes. They've been mandatory for a few seasons now I believe.

Two MotoGP changes last winter (prior to the start of the 2012 season) were the lifting of testing restrictions and mandatory brake protectors, as mentioned above. FYI - testing is not limited by the number of sessions or limiting # of tests bike, but now the limit is tire usage, which will be limited to the allocated 240 units or 120 pairs that Bridgestone provides for testing... and brake protectors are on all GP bikes.

Will - have sent you a message via smug.

Truly awesome set of shot's and proof if it were ever needed for how good the 7D is - although to be fair, 90% of it is down to you and not the kit, you nailed these

.DAVID.

EOS box that goes click and some tubes with glass in them on the front.

Thanks for the kind works, David.

Got your message - very good advice. I've adjusted accordingly.

I have not been following any 2-wheel racing but I'm a graduate of 20+ open track days and that brake protector really does sound like a smart idea now that I know what it does.

Thanks,

I forgot my monopod at home so the 300 had to stay in the RV.:(

Valentino is my favorite rider. I really miss his Yamaha days...looking forward to seeing him back with JL next year with Yamaha. He can't blame loosing on the Ducati bike if he doesn't perform next season.

Good shots!

Thanks! That's probably the only benefit of the 300 f4 vs. the f2.8 - that I can hand-hold it all day without too much trouble :D

I am also a huge Valentino fan (I have one of the Rossi/Fiat R1's), and am really looking forward to seeing him back on a competative bike.

I think LeMans this year showed us that he still has the ability - it will jsut be interesting to see if the 'magic' is still there with the M1.

You would have loved T3 at Laguna this year (I was flag/radio cornerworking) - Rossi crashed and kindly left his bike for us to play with... until security (aka Dorna) shooed us away. Amazing to see these bikes up close. I think we will see Rossi on the podium often next year on the Yamaha.
