LOL! I see you got a little cameo shot there Tom! Great photo too man! guess I found my next camera and lens setup.

I love those Icelights!

The Phaseone camera's are bad ass. I didnt see you at the Westcott booth at all Tom. I was actually there for a while checking out the ice lights and a couple other of their cool lines of modifiers. It would have been nice to have lunch or something..

Yeah, lunch would of been cool. I was busy as hell, I worked the trade-show floor and the WPPI classrooms. I also had to find time to make rounds and see old friends. Mathew Jordan Smith was there, he is always so nice. Syl Arena, Mark Wallace, David Ziser, Clay Blackmore, Sue Bryce, hell a ton of people I love to see when they are in town, just too little time. I got to take a few of the guys out and show them a few good places to eat here in town.

I was on the left of the main Demo Area. You remember where they set up the New TD6's (in the middle)? I was to the left where all of the Apollo modifiers were set up. I got to work with all the people that could not get close enough to see the Spyderlite set demo. I would talk to them and show them what speedlights can do. I didn't want to take away from what Jim was doing so I would wait some times when he was done and do my own demo.

This is why Phase let me use thier Rigs, they didn't have any sort of Demo going in their booth so I killed 2 birds with one stone. A Westscott Demo and and IQ180 with 110 Schneider demo.

When you say the Phaseone cameras are bad ass, that is an understatement, That image above was a SB-80DX in the ORB. Did you know those Schneider-Kreuznach leaf shutter lenses will allow you to sync at 1/1600th of a second. No sync hack, 100% flash power at 1/1600th, that is incredible. The lens has the shutter built in, it is a leaf shutter, just like in all my, large format lenses, but all working with digital control. (If I told you I was working a deal to get one, you wouldn't believe me, so I wont, ;))

All I know is it is fun to play with all the new toys first. Speaking of first, you know some A-hole stole my friends prototype Ice Light at the WPPI VIP party the last night of the show! I got to play with the Ice lights before the public got to see them. The people at Westscott treat me like family. I love them! I try to work with them at every trade show I can get to. I have done that for several years now.

Stop by at PSW next time and I might be able to get you into one of the lighting classes or something.

Andrew did you change your POTN screen name? Wasn't it Suicidn or something like that? I must be going crazy!

Yup... SuicidnS13 is a name I use on all of my automotive message boards since I build custom cars. But since BX Photo has taken off I figure it was time to go ahead and change this name just to give my 2 seperate lives some seperation.

I didn't know that you could change your screen name. So BX is taking off, that is great. I hope you can squeeze in time to teach a class on the meetup some day.

Here is the exact setup in action,. but the head and sticks are whats for sale. I cant part with my Zacuto or the Red Rock Micro "Event" and focus follow. I had the Cinevate now I have the RedRock! But I need the cash for the new body, so I am selling the stuff that sits in the closet! I have to say it's moving fast and I am glad, I am loosing a ton of money to spend a bunch more, ;(
