Another vote for the Canon 50mm 1.4. Mine is soft at all f-stops. I'm going to sell it and re-aquire a 50mm 1.8

Good luck selling it now that you announced it sucks! :)

I really, really liked the 50mm f1.4. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat (but not yours)

Buy the 40mm instead. Unless you absolutly need the faster aperture. Or try to find a mk1 50mm f/1.8. I hated the mk2 even more than the 50mm f/1.4.....

I'd say my current "worst lens" is the 28-135mm IS USM only because it has the most CA and isn't sharp wide open. All of my other lenses are sharp wide open, but then they are all L (excluding the 40mm) There are many lenses I dislike much more than the 28-135mm, but current is the key word for me.

24-105 just not happy with its iq, don't know why but had better results with 18-55 kit lens.

The 28-135 that came with my 40D. While the IQ isn't terrible (maybe I got a good copy), it's too slow, the front end creeps, and it seems to have collected a lot of dust internally.

Worst... Well, the only lens I've sold was the Canon 70-300 f4-5.6 so I guess it was my worst. It was noticeably softer beyond 250mm, and 70mm is too long on the short-end on a crop camera for me.

Of the lens I have now, I couldn't say which is the worst. I love them all for what they are good at...

Helios 44-3 58mm f2. It's not a bad lens, but presently, it's my worst.

Probably my 500mm f/6.3 mirror lens. To be fair, it is very inexpensive and came with a 2x extender for mega reach on a crop body :D

16-35L II because of how overpriced it is.

Completely disappointed with IQ in the corners. Only lens I've ended up returning.

I don't really have any BAD lenses. Just lenses that I don't use. I haven't used the 28-135 kit lens that came with the 7D in a long time. Just a useless focal range for what I tend to shoot. But I keep it around just in case.

Since I've bought the 1D4, I'm leaning towards selling the 7D kit including the lens to fund other lenses.

Sigma 24-70 f2.8 EX. Shocking barrel distortion at 24mm, really soft corners (even on a crop), terrible contrast and flat colour rendering. Sold it after two weeks. I wasn't even prepared to see if I had a bad copy.

2nd worst would be the Canon 18-55 kit lens. Worst build quality i've seen so far.

I lost the Sigma lottery on a 30/1.4 as well, but it's well documented that if you do get a good copy, it is a good lens.
