Okay i know its not really that rare but i was extremely excited when i captured these photos

I think these little green bees are so cool... probably the most exciting inspect i photographed so far.

Thanks everyone, when it first flew into frame i thought " thats a weird looking fly" then i realized it was a green bee.. Anyone know the specific species name for these?

Nice shots fred.

I find it strange that theres so many different variations with the green bees. Like fred your green bees eyes are different than mine, their a solid color. Then when i did a google search i found ones that had green top parts, with regular abdomens, i wonder what causes the different variations, is it a different species or just a mutation.
