Im thinking of upgrading my body from a 7d to a ?????
What im looking for is a body with better high ISO capabilities.
Without breaking the bank, what would you recomend to get me workable photos in the 3200- 5000 iso range.
Reason i need it is im starting to work as a second shooter for a wedding business here locally.

Thanks

Well, sounds like you need one from the 5D line. Which one would depend largely on your budget :)

I was thinking a 5d mkII, but i havent ruled out other options quite yet. Was hoping to get multiple opinions here along with a few suggestions.

The only way to upgrade from a 7D would be either something from the 5D or 1D line. Unfortunately, that'll probably break your bank. But a camera from either of those two lines would definitely help with shooting weddings!

Well if you are going be doing weddings and need high ISO then it makes sense to go with a 5D something. I use a MK2 for weddings as I can't afford a MK3 at the moment but I am thinking of renting one for the next wedding I do.

I have been looking at some 1D line bodies, but there are so many different models im not sure which ones i should be considering for weddings. I know some are geared more towards action but im happy with my 7d for sports. Any suggestions in a 1d body?

If you're keeping the 7d for fast action, get the 5d2 and you're good to go. If you're selling the 7d and will still need something fast, you will have to look at the 5d3 or a 1d.
