100 f/2.8L out of stock @ Samy's

I went to Samy's Camera today to buy a 100 f/2.8L Macro lens, while Canon is offering the $120 rebate. Curses, they were sold out of that lens, and they are on back order. I don't want to wait, now i'll have to order the lens from Adorama or B&H, not that that's a bad thing, I just wanted it today. On the bright side I'll save some money by not having to pay tax.

Oh and Sammys is offering no sales tax thu fri and sat this week

I was there today, and I specifically asked David (guy behind the counter) if there was tax and he said yes?!? When I bought my 17-55 last June, there was also a rebate and no tax, I thought I was going to score again.
