Means you need some f1.4 glass. :D

f2.8 ok but with f1.4, f1.2, better to have 1/8000. Now shooting at ISO50 will still be nice with their sensor.

This is rumored 6D specs:

http://digicame-info.com/2012/09/eos-6d-20.html (external link)

- Full size CMOS sensor is a newly developed 20.2 million pixel sensor
- DIGIC5 + image processing engine
- Body, which is on par with miniaturized machine APS-C
- The body is magnesium alloy cover only
- Built-in W-Fi
- Built-in GPS
- AF is 11 points, the corresponding central cross sensor F2.8

- Burst 4.5 seconds frame / best
- 30-1/4000 seconds, second sync at 1/180 shutter speed shutter durability of 100,000
- Drip-proof dustproof
- 3-inch 1.04 million dot LCD monitor
- Video - Full HD (1920x1080)
- (50,51200,102400 extension) ISO100-25600
- Creative Auto
- SD / SDHC / SDXC media (corresponding UHS-I)
- (Battery, including media) 755g weight

So how is it 6D vs D600 (IF the 6D specs list is correct :)) ?

It looks like the R & D needs to go back to the drawing board or hire better ones.

None of the specs makes you want to pre-order one now. ;)

If these latest specs are true, I think the prices on used 5dII's will go up. I have been holding off for an upgrade waiting to see what this new camera brings. I am totally underwhelmed.

6D, 5D, 7D, Eos R and too many lenses, flashes and aux. gear to list!

I normally rebel against all of the qq that happens when a new... anything comes out but I have to say that I really hope this is a false rumor. If it is true this means Canon really needs to fire their development team and poach some of Nikon's. This camera looks like it is not even as well speced as the cheaper 5D2.

Canon still doesn't get it -if these rumored specs are correct. They are too afraid to impact their existing camera models so they keep bringing out these under whelming bodies. In the end nobody is happy - neither their customers nor Canon because there will come a point when even loyal customers give up and switch to the dark side.

With canon recent glass prices, move to Nikon is getting easier. Earlier Nikon glass used to be lot more $$. I just wish Nikon camera controls were easier and they had something like 135L, 400mm f5.6 etc.

Rumored Specs. However looking at it... it seems they want to just do battle with the D600. The same gripes/issues are there. 1/4000 shutter speed being one of them. Now not having the 7D focus system... that is odd. And a new sensor?

I find it odd that all the other rumors are saying 5D sensor with 7D AF system. This one is new this and new that. Have to wait and see.

Sure hope those rumoured 6D specs are as accurate as the ones predicting 40MP+ sensors for the 5D3. AF system with fewer points than the 7D? Not attractive at all. Even worse in comparison to a D600.

I really like what i see, but again, i also wanna see Canon's response...

Unfortunately, this seems to be Canon's new business practice - let others lead and we'll follow.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

IF you are looking for the best IQ, Nikon 24-70mm f2.8.

The Nikon 24-120mm f4 VRII is also good but the former provides better bokeh and is a tad sharper so I sold my 24-120mm f4 and kept the 24-70mm f2.8. I don't have any interest with the new Nikon 24-85mm lens and it is actually f3.5 - 4.5.

Ah I missed that it is was f/3.5-4.5 :o

I doubt it's R&D - we know they're capable of amazing things. Looks to be more marketing and their coveted segmentation.

anyone know if there is a pc sync hotshoe adapter so that you could still run an sb x00 flash on camera? The deal breaker for my needs is that it doesn't have a pc sync port which I would want.

Please let these specs be true so I can continue my 4 year streak of not buying anything Canon produce. Gimped AF, gimped shutter speed (have we even had a $1000+ camera with less than 1/8000 in the last, say, 6 years?), gimped flash sync (ditto the shutter speed, I thought 1/200 was pretty well standard?)... It's sad that I can believe Canon would do something like this, but this is their MO. No doubt the sensor will still come with free banding included as well.
