Well, all I can say is that I was lied to a long time ago. There really is a Santa Claus.

$714 price difference in the ebay store vs the online site. Crazy!

For those who keep track of Nikon, are there similar discounts on the D800?

I just called Adorama to see if I could pick it up in the store today instead of waiting for it to ship. They checked my order and said it was already submitted to UPS for shipping and it will leave the warehouse tomorrow and I'll have it on Tuesday at the latest. (I'm on Long Island so UPS from NYC is only 1 day for me.) I was order # 530. Unreal. And yippee!!

Light leak issues, hell, this would be like seeing a topless girl on the beach and getting hung up on the fact her sunglasses weren't in vogue:cool:

Canon recalled & fixed the effected batch #1 and #2 few months ago.

My 5d3 (from newegg) was atleast 2 months old and it's SN# was in #3.... (xxxxx3xxxx....)

I would not worry about it, You should be good!

By now, those batches have been sold off or repaired. 99% of stock are newer stock with the light leak issued fixed.
