Is there a particular repair facility that is better than others when it comes to old, out of warranty lens repair? The focus mechanism in my Tamron 28-105 sounds like gears grinding and I can't seem to find a replacement for it at a reasonable price, so I'd like to get an estimate on repair cost. Who have you had good luck with?
Thanks!

Since it is long out of warranty and the repair cost will be all on me, I was hoping for a more economical solution than the OEM. I will call this week and see what the likelihood of getting it repaired are. The other lens like it that I have seen for sale are going for around $250-$300, so I hope it can be fixed for less. If not, I have a pretty paperweight :)
