Anyone Use Luma Labs Cinch?

how have you got it adjusted, I find it best when at the straps longest, the camera is at hip level.

does the crossing of the screen happen when you have the strap "cinched" up or long, are you wearing the strap, diagonally left to right or right to left ?

I have it at full length, it's regular size. I have it diagonal from left shoulder to right hip, although it is still about halfway from under arm to hip.

I'd say the strap is too short for you, if at it's full length it's only half way between the arm and the hip

I use a luma cinch.
at times I mount the membrane connector thing, to allow use of a tripod plate.
I am thinking of using the membrane to allow hookup of a temporary tether strap, for security in urban areas.

thoughts on this?

I guess if they want your camera bad enough to threaten your life to get it, a tether serves the opposite function. From my point of view, in this situation I'd hand it over.

If you wear the cinch as a sling, it would be difficult for someone to run off with it.

There is also insurance to fall back on

I've been looking around for straps. How does this compare to the Black Rapid?

I have the BR, waiting for some free cash to order the Cinch.

IMO, they are 2 different animals due to the fact that the camera slides with the DR. I like the BR for certain times, but I'm not fond of it for big lenses when the body/lens is constantly banging against my side if I'm hiking/walking/etc.

I just placed my order!

Mine came in the mail today. It took 1 week from the time I placed the order until it came in today.

While I haven't really had a chance to put it through it's paces yet, I have attached it to my 7D and am really liking how it keeps the camera in tight against my hip while walking around the house.

It does seem like a well thought out and a high quality item. Boy does this ever put the Canon strap to shame. Really think I will enjoy using this.

So after some thought, I'm pretty sure I'm going to order one. I don't like the thick pad on the BR strap. Quick size question though. Do most of you find the website sizing to be accurate?

How big/tall are you? I posted a similar question and another member was nice enough to do some measuring for me. I'm 6'3" 230lbs., and the "Big" size is what I'll be getting.

More or less.

I'm ~5'8 158lb and I use a regular. When cinched all the way up, it fits perfectly and stops the camera from bouncing around. Anyone smaller would need the small IMO, whereas I could see someone bigger/taller using the regular no problem.
