Got my camera, now some questions. First, I set up a custom 4-digit file number prefix but it automatically replaces the first letter with a underscore when it records. Why is it doing this and how do I fix it. In case it matters the 4-digit code I am trying to use is "IOTH". Second question; I took some shots with it for evaluation and when I imported them with Lightroom 4, they said created by the previous owner. I can't find where you change this info in the camera. Anyone know?

Bob

Ok, just figured out the answer to the first question. The camera was in AdobeRGB color space which automatically makes the first digit in the file name a underscore. Still need help with the second question.

Man... I feel sad each time I open this thread...great great images in here. I just ordered a second 5D3 and in the process of listing the 1D3 for sale...I'll miss it but I'm sure I'll be back to 1D series at a later time...for weddings and portraits the 5D3 fit a bit better...

Keep posting folks!

You need to hook up the camera to a pc and use the canon utilities software that came with it to change the owner name. There is no other way of doing it unfortunately

Yep, I realized that issue when examining the exif from my first shots with this body. Read in this thread a bunch of pages back that Canon Utility would fix me right up.

Very sharp with all that glass and air between you and the plane. Nice prop orientation too...
