Do you think? A camera that is over double the cost of new and any EF-S lenses now need to be sold. Even if they have a 60D the used value is a 1/3 of the cost. Using this logic why have they not already grabbed a used 5D MKII? The price, on the used market, has been less than 2100 for quite some time. If they are going to suddenly buy NEW by the boatloads Canon must now something that no one else does.

.

Some people want a new body, not a used one..

I know i sell a lot of my stuff used, but I rarely buy used.. I just generally buy new items... Cant tell you why..

Let's try not to get stupid here.

Sorry if my sense of humor is a bit off at the moment...

The worst thing about the 6D? It's not a 3D. ;) I wanted a high MP/wide DR weather-sealed no-compromises landscape/architecture/studio camera, not an entry level DSLR. But, I'm sure Canon made the best business decision because they're gonna sell lots of 6Ds. :)

I ended up editing the post... I was attempting to be funny but my sense of humor is a little off tonight.. lol

The point is, We're all just speculating.. Until we see more samples from both cameras and side by sides as well as actual field reports from people shooting them, thats really all we can do...

Actually, I thought your post was amusing. I was referring to all the "experts" who have already deemed the 6D a complete fail, when not one of them have even touched the thing.

Oh dumb question... but whats stopping someone at Photokina from playing around with that "Connect to smart phone" thing, taking a few shots, sending them to their phone and uploading them?

Does it require that a card is inside first? Do they not allow you to put your own card in? Although, in that Jared Polin video, it seemed like they didn't tape the SD card slot closed...

Good question!

I have been in the market to get another full frame camera to compliment my original 5d for weddings (by selling my 1d II and 60d).. but not quite sure how to feel about this 6D.

I've been reading up about the wifi and am wondering if it will do instant transfer to my laptop??? (I don't give a crap about the smartphone stuff or GPS)

I think that would be useful if: for when I shoot weddings it transfers to my laptop and saves there as well or school dances (having the photos instantly pop up on the computer without needing my cord).

If that's what its wifi does, then it's a possibility, otherwise, it's a used 5d II...
