the 8mm is a fisheye...the 14mm is not...

are you looking for a fisheye or not?

I don't think you are asking the right question. These two lenses are so vastly different that comparing them and asking which one is better doesn't make sense. If you need a fisheye - go for the 8mm - otherwise .........

PS. Andre beat me to it:-)

One is a fisheye designed for APS-C the other is a ultra wide angle designed for FF and APS-C so it really depends what you need, not so much which one is better.

Depends, what do you want to shoot? the 8mm is a totally different kind of lens than the 14mm, it isn't a matter of one being wider than the other.

If you want wider than 14mm I would say you need to save a bit more for a sigma 10-20 or better yet a Canon 10-22.

if you're after the fast aperture...i'd look at the tokina 11-16mm f2.8...wider than the rokinon, and probably better suited for a crop...i look at the 14mm as more of a FF lens, since there are so many good UWAs for crops that will get you wider for not much more money
