mattkrass Member 184 posts Joined Aug 2010 Location: NY More info | Well, I just took a recent trip to the World, and despite an altogether too terrifying fog incident (which I overreacted to slightly ![]() The main gates of the Magic Kingdom, as seen from the Monorail pulling in. The clouds made the light pretty soft and friendly, not so harsh and blazing as I was expecting in Florida. IMAGE LINK: https://picasaweb.google.com …liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite ![]() In trying to avoid too many cliche shots, I shot this fun angle of the Spaceship Earth golfball, I love the rich blue of the sky, and the dark silhouette of the tree. I'm also a pretty big fan of the way the structure fades to shadow on the right. IMAGE LINK: https://picasaweb.google.com …liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite ![]() Yeah, I suck at avoiding cliche shots, but I really enjoy the view over the lagoon from here, and the interesting looking clouds in the distance. IMAGE LINK: https://picasaweb.google.com …liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite ![]() This was a total lucky shot, no planning whatsoever, I was rushing around the lagoon to try and get to some food and a good spot to sit and watch Illuminations and I looked over to see the sunlight streaming through these clouds. I could also see it fading fairly rapidly, so I plunked my camera down on a garbage can, composed the shot, set the 2 second timer and fired. I only got off one shot with the streaming effect! I took a few after, but they just didn't look as good. IMAGE LINK: https://picasaweb.google.com …liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite ![]() Yes, the castle, at night, almost head on, I don't think anyone has ever taken this shot before ![]() IMAGE LINK: https://picasaweb.google.com …liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite ![]() After taking that castle shot, the park was almost completely empty, so I set up and got this great long exposure of the nearly empty Tomorrowland all lit up. Tomorrowland is my favorite part of the park, and one of my top 3 favorite places in Walt Disney World (this trip I rode Space Mountain 9 times!). The way it looks here, lit up and futuristic really just looks cool! So, that's my story, I hope my photos are up to snuff with the other posted here, from some of the really impressive shots I've seen posted, I'm bringing down the average around here! Matt Matt Krass
