Saw Canon's and dpreview's article on the G15. IMHO, I feel they took 1 step forward and 3 back. Nothing here to warrant upgrading my G12. Non-articulated screen, no ISO dial. I am simply not impressed, not at all.
It's worth looking at if you do a lot of portraits indoors w/o flash. f/1.8-2.8 is pretty damn impressive, considering the previous models started at f/2.8 on the wide end and narrowed down to f/4.5 zoomed in.
Not so much a consideration for me since I would just use a dslr with the 50 f/1.4, or even the S95 if I needed a portable solution, which starts out at f/2.
I think it's worth nothing that the fast lens does help differentiate it from the S110. Since now the G15 doesn't have the articulated screen, there wouldn't be any advantage to having it over the S100/S110. You'd just have the same tech in a bigger, clunkier body.
