Gorgeous photos of Chicago, Butch. Almost enough to make me want to visit. :D

I managed to plan ahead and bring the 16-35mm along for lunch today.

Nearly had a crisis this morning - packing my bag for work, knowing I was going out to dinner and wanted to take the 16-35 with me, but only had space in the bag for EITHER the 16-35 or a can of Mt Dew. . . fortunately I remembered there was an "emergency" Mt Dew in the fridge at my office so I packed the 16-35. Glad I did:

Here is one of mine. Just listed it on the for sale section. Saying goodbye to this amazing lens.

Hello everybody. Is the mark I still a good buy? My shop has a used one for € 695 (about $ 890) and I am sooo tempted. I had actually planned to buy two fast primes: a 35mm (most likely the Samyang) and something ultra wide. The 16-35mm would meet both needs. So, would you recommend the 16-35?

I still absolutely love mine, and that looks like a good price - I paid quite a bit more for mine, secondhand. (But I also bought from a very trusted seller.) If you're thinking about wide-angle, the 16-35 is a great range, especially on a FF body.

On a crop body, this is still my favorite lens for food photography.

How's the smoothness of the focusing ring? It will be doubling as a video lens.
