I am using CS5. I have a pre made birth announcement. When I place the image I want to use into the birth announcement the image is becoming over saturated for some reason. There are no adjusted layers in either the announcement or the image. Please help me figure out why this is happening.

double check to make sure both images are the same color profile / color space

eg. srgb , Adobe RGB etc.

Oddly enough ... I was going to post the before of the announcement and image and then the after of when the image was placed in the announcement but when I save the after as a jpeg the issue is not there. Does anyone have any suggestions for this?

The Birth Announcement says rgb8# while my images say rgb8* is there a way to match them?

The "Birth announcement" has no embedded profile.

Not a good idea.

Assign a profile to it. sRGB is probably a good idea.

Also, go to your color settings and tick the warning checkboxes.
