To save you the trouble, its a Sony NEX-7 with a Hassy logo, a very interesting design (It looks neat actually) and a $5000 price tag

Yes, $5000

For an NEX-7 coated in "premium materials"

Can I have some of whatever you're smoking Hassy?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the price looks like it's $6500 US? $6500 for a nex 7!? This may be the ugliest camera I have ever seen.

That is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard of. Paying 500% the price of an identical camera on the inside because it has a wood finish and a name brand on it. Lame city. It even uses the same lenses as the Sony (of course because it is a Sony).

Anyone who would buy this would make Leica owners look practical and pragmatic. At least for the price of admission to Leica land you get a compact full frame camera. With this, you get.... nothing.

I actually concede the new Leica M looks great, They combined the Rangefinder with a port to accept a digital viewfinder and came out with an adapter so you can shoot R lenses on it, I actually concede I would buy one if i had the money, Whereas before I just wouldn't be able to justify the Leica because of what i shoot... Still can list a lot of other things id do with the money though :P

well the shutter button has a H on it, I guess that's worth something right.

despite the cost at least they are trying to be different. they better looking than the standard camera look.

I'll buy one to keep in the trunk of my Bugatti in case I pass by (at 400kmh) something worthy of a photo...

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

I think it's a beautiful camera, but it's way pricey of course!

That said im willing to bet you that an adventurous soul could reproduce the Hassy at a fraction of the cost

They could just build a grip/case that looks similar that the NEX7 would fit in.

Apparently there are at least a couple people in this thread who like the looks of the thing. More power to you I guess.

I think they made this to make Nex-7 look cheap !! Just like Leica-Dlux-5 Vs Pany-LX5
