Previous 5D2 owners, do you guys find the 5D3 files a bit sharper compared to the previous generation? I'm looking at this thread and it seems like pictures here are a tad bit sharper than the 5D2. Or perhaps my eyes are playing tricks on me.

Actually when I compare the raw files from both my 5D II and III the 5D II seems to be slightly sharper on the fine details. My guess is the AA filter might be a wee bit stronger on the 5D III. In any case, the answer is definitively 'no'; the 5D III does not produce a sharper raw file than the 5D II. I do feel the overall color rendering of the 5D III is better though. David | Flickr
