Some photos of Pixel 5D3 grip and initial impression found on another forum:

+mrk: Pixel Vertex Grip arrived the other day, build quality seems very good, the inside base is metal as is the ceiling, it seems sturdy on the tripod as well and the grip rubber quality is a mirror of the 5D's own grip. All buttons seem to work fine and battery info is reported correctly by the camera!

Only time will tell how the plastic areas wear down with use. The Meike grip on the 40D wore quite well in this regard but the pixel grip feels stronger mostly due to its tighter construction (lower profile).

I purchased mine from ebay seller hcdigital2011. Pixel grip was $98.00, I paid an extra $30 for shipping and got it within a week. I live in Connecticut. It came via UPS from China.

Ok, a follow up on Pixel 5D Mk III grip, it sucks! One of the pins on it broke recently, but still works fortunately, pic of it here:

Also the grip locks up image review playback, sometimes I have to turn the grip to "OFF" position in order to get to the menu or playback images. I bought this on ebay from the user "dreamdigital01", the seller doesn't respond when I ask about repairs or replacements. This phenomenon is similar to the Vivitar grip I have for my 5D Mark II grip which locks up dials sometimes (and the AF button sucks on it, to springy like someone else on here mentions). Definitely going to switch over to OEM grips soon. You get what you pay for!!!

I decided to ditch my Pixel BG-E11 & go with Meike BG-E11 version 2.

Meike's new BG-E11 version 2 is EXACT same copy as the original Canon BG-E11, sans the magnesium.
Doesn't suffer from any issues like battery drain & over-sensitive multi-controller.

Safe to say I will not buy any of the Pixel products anymore.

Can you keep us posted on how it runs - any issues and how it compares with the Pixel.

Also do they have an official site somewhere - at least with Pixel you had somewhere to go in case of problems.

Either that is a stock photo or the flashpoint grip doesn't have the joystick on the grip. Maybe Helen can chime in, I'll shoot her an email

I emailed Helen and she replied back stating that their version of the grip does not have the joystick on it.

I guess that goes some way to explaining the $229 price difference between the 2 items!

I´m happy with the new (replaced) BG-E11 from Pixel - no battery draining (the first one usually 8-10% per night) + gift from Pixel (release shutter for 5D3) :)

How much was shipping for you in the end? That's the only thing keeping me from sending mine back right now.
