beautiful photo series.. i always wonder why they have that little "tuff' of hair on the top of their ears..

I should have shot the info signs, was going to but didn't. From what I remember reading on one of the signs the ears are designed to pick up sound better, the tuft of hair helps funnel sound into the ear.

Yup, I spent an hour standing there, would have stayed longer but I wanted to go photograph my daughter getting her hair cut. Thought a hair salon would be a cool place to shoot. Otherwise I'd probably still be standing at the bobcat enclosure...


Something about the wild cats, and big cats like tigers and leopards, that makes you want to just climb in and snuggle up next to them. I know, I know...it's all fun and cuddly until your face gets ripped off.

Beautiful animals. A family friend has one as a house pet - she lays on the back of the couch when they watch TV; gnawing on her deer leg the entire time. :lol:
