Heck I might as well share a couple taken of daughter a few days ago before a session with my SL II and a couple 580's one in SL and one in a Cheetah SB with grid for hair light.

Thanks thats a candy stick BG from backdrop outlet. I really like the ease of use by just clamping it to a BG stand and letting it hang. When finished, roll up and store it away. only negative is I am a little concerned about the durability of them as they are rather thin.

Also Shane how in the world did you hide the reflection of the SL with all that glass? Or did we have to what I do sometimes and get out the clone brush? :-)

Nope, no cloning. I had the light high enough that the reflection hit the floor and not my lens. :D

I found the Softlighter II used new like new condition at B&H for $50. I couldn't resist. It will be here tomorrow. Not sure when I will get to use it though.

Well, I keep telling myself I'm going to post here some, yet I rarely follow through, but the SL is my favorite modifier (mostly because I can't get my BD to do exactly what I want yet) and here are a couple that I did for photo challenges. Just fun stuff.

And a self portrait that my wife and kids seemed to enjoy a little too much.

I have an 86" PLM and a 46" SL II. Recently I had the SLII outside, the wind got ahold of it, and knocked it to the ground. I'm starting to wonder if I should replace my SL with a 51" PLM, since it seems more durable with the fiberglass ribs. I was able to bend the SLII back into place, but it's definitely on borrowed time. Thoughts?

Right away I thought that you need an assistant. :D

Very true!

My initial thought was to make a 'PLM on a pole' that I can have an assistant hold. I have seen it posted on this forum in the past. I love the quality of light from the softlighter, but the price has gone up on them...

I suppose it's not the best place to be asking about buying something that's NOT a softilighter :D
