Inspired by ksprouls amazing sunset shot of upper Tipsoo lake I ventured over there this last week. The wildfires in the centeral Cascades have created so much smoke haze that it makes it almost impossible to see Rainier during the day. Around sunset though it can cause some interesting effects.

Killer shots. Subtle color and nice composition. I especially like #2. The layered mountain is wonderful.

#3 is flat out fantastic.

Great shots. I really like the first two, and #3 is excellent as well. #4 looks a little off to me. It could just be my monitor though.

1,2,3 are excellent.

I might adjust the horizon a little bit on some of these in the CCW direction, especially 3.

2 is vastly superior to the re-blend.

Awesome -- I'm really jealous you're able to head out there whenever. :D

I like #2 quite a bit and agree with El Duderino that it's preferable to the reblend. (My two cents only of course!)

When you were there for sunset, was ash falling all around you? I was there after sunset last Friday and ash was falling like snow -- I could see the stars but not more than 10' around me (kind of an odd phenomenon).
