Sent my bodies off to Canon to be cleaned and checked and rented some gear for this weekend's work. C&C are always welcome. None of these are below 10K ISO, most are 12,8K and that was just to get 1/500 at 2.8

#2 - run-of-the-mill stock shot, yes, but the kid is playing with a torn ACL. He was told it
couldn't get any worse so he wears the brace and plays.

#3 - Just happened to catch him looking right at me (and I wasn't even shooting a big white lens, how did he even notice me... uh-oh, I've said too much already )

#4 - it's all about the sweat droplets

#5 - torn ACL and he is hanging in there. I got the sack, but I like the anticipation better

I'm not sure they're sharper, but I know they're easier to get. Damn camera was hiccupping on me all night. I don't expect and I understand that I'm not going to get 9FPS at the settings I was shooting at but I wasn't even getting 4-5. Wasn't the card either, just wouldn't do it. Never had a Canon do that to me.

Looks ok to me on most of them. #3 is a little too heavy with the NR, but I think the others look ok.

At freaking 12,800 I'd expect something to be reduced.

Did you try a D4? I am really interested in getting my hands on one of those since Canon borked a repair and is winding me up with a lack of customer service in the repair department.

I haven't tried a D4. The Mark IV doesn't hiccup like that at 12,8K. Lensrentals has them in stock, $345 for a week. I'm tempted to try one, but this whole thing has really reinforced why I went with Canon.
