^Not a 1Dx owner or product photographer, but I am a food lover and damn those look good. Screen cap'n that so I can try this out soon!

Lighting is nice and clean, and the subject is well arranged.

I feel that there is too much distortion and convergence, caused entirely by the use of a very wide angle lens. I use a TS-E 90mm for virtually ll of my product/still life shots, which gives a much more accurate representation.

I still like it very much though.

Not that anyone has been following my mini-thread in here regarding shooting soccer, but in case anyone cares, I tried some advice from folks here over the weekend. I actually shot a soccer game in light rain with the 1dx and 300 f2.8. I shot everything at f2.8 and 1/1000, and I let the ISO float in auto ISO mode. I tried center-weighted and spot metering. I turned the IS off and had it on a monopod. I also modified Case 4, the accel/decel parameter from +1 to +2. I had some focus misses but not many, and I think it was my fault most of the time. When it locked on, it definitely locked on, and I was pleased with the results like this one.

Has anyone noticed using 24mm (24-100) the distortion is actually quite bad on the 1DX.

Sdipirro I have been following everyone's posts on here, The 1DX is quite difficult to learn in my view over a lot of other bodies. In Default mode most bodies just work well, the 1DX actually needs adjustments out of the box to give satisfactory results from what I was expecting anyhow.

I can't say enough about the autofocus and high ISO improvement I picked up when I moved from the 7D to the 1DX.
