@Modakai, I will have no problem sharing the seller after all is said and done as long as it doesnt break any POTN rules.
...

Was just curious really. Does suck that they are closed but so are a bunch of other companies this week. Hopefully they get back to you on the 10th and get it resolved.

Ill let you folks know when its resolved.

Hopefully one day I will gain some common sense so I can hang out with the cool kids.

(^that last line was sarcastic btw)

Well that was quick. They called me just now (9:30 here, thats 12:30 midnight in New York where they are) and said they will make a shipping label and ship out first thing in the morning before leaving on vacation. Good thing I bought from a reputable authorized dealer. Must be that 6th sense.. or was it spidey? or common? forgot.

@BTBeilke That is exactly what happened. They said they think that my kit got sent to another buyer who just bought the body, and said that it was their problem, not mine and the lens will be sent priority mail to me asap.

Always get contact from the seller first before making a claim, i know its a PITA but its the best thing to do.

Oh boy.
Be sure to contact PayPal.
To convenient they are closed for a few days.

My thoughts exactly. File a dispute with PayPal immediately. They are buyer bias and if the seller does try to eff you, then you still have your chance at getting your money back.

lol Spidey sense..

@wayne.robbins, like mentioned above, Adorama and B&H are on vacation (closed) this week too.
I did pay paypal goods. NOT GIFT.
I did buy from a reputable company. Searched it on the canon authorized dealers and here on POTN, with good results. Actually the company name comes up a LOT here on POTN and all are good reviews or recommendations to buy from them.

I do regret doing the deal outside of Ebay, but too late now. Just seeing what can be done.

@maverick75, ya Im keeping it cool, and hoping it was a simple mistake. After all they are an authorized dealer and a reputable company.

@samsen, My receipt and invoice say Canon EOS 5D Mark III Digital Camera Kit with Canon 24-105mm F/4L IS USM AF Lens. No fine print to read.

@Modakai, I will have no problem sharing the seller after all is said and done as long as it doesnt break any POTN rules.

Im a little hesitant to make a paypal claim since I have not yet talked to the seller. If I make a claim with Paypal and Paypal contacts them before I get to talk to them, that might piss them off and they might not react the same way as if they talked to me first. I dont know..

Was this a PayPal transaction where the money was deducted from your linked bank account or through a credit card? If CC, you have an additional layer of protection in addition to PP.

PMI Digital/Profeel is a reputable business, and Frank has already stated that they are making good by sending him a lens from a different package. This is most certainly at a close, I have dealt with the same company with no issues.

@ Yogi Bear, yes I used CC through Paypal (No gift).

@wayne.robbins, Camera looks untouched. I didnt do a shutter count, but I have no doubts that it was never turned on before.

Ya, they sent me tracking info today for a 3 pound package. However usps doesnt show any updates. And they asked me to close my paypal claim but when I went to paypal to close it, paypal recommended I didn't close it till the the lens gets here as I wont be able to open a new claim if something goes wrong.

Cant wait! However already feeling the buzz from using this beast with my 50 1.4 and 70-200IS.

USPS doesn't have a tracking system, don't expect to see anything much happen with events.

Yes they do but its only on their express shipments. Everything else only has Delivery Confirmation.

I did search Amazon, I actually looked at every company mentioned above and tons more. I went with what I feel is a reputable company and a good bundle price.

Id like to hear more about that racists comment maverick75. I have bought from them plenty in the past and this kind of thing would persuade me to go elsewhere.

Ya, USPS tracking is a joke. Even tho they shipped priority, Ill still not know where its at until its in my hands. ..so from New York to San Diego, shipped Thursday, Im thinking Monday. I cant wait!

Anywho.. I loaded my bag and am headed to the highest hill in a small radius and gonna take some test shots. =) Hopefully catch something that will make my debut in the 5dIII users unite thread..

The weight of the package may work to your advantage. Camera with lens and the other equipment should have a minimum weight. The box should have been weighed by UPS and if it their records show it light, then you have some proof the lens wasn't in there when shipped.

Those holidays are a serious pain. Why is it that all the camera stores in New York are like that? Are there any that don't follow that plan?

Thank you. bw!
