engagement shoot shoe shot

this was a mini session at the new marlins ballpark. they love vintage inspired oldschool baseball and shoes. this was one of the shots i thought captured both their passions pretty well. please C&c

I would love to see this in colour or straight out of camera! The shoes on the left seems overexposed! Also the editing doesn't suit this for me personally, but I actually like the pic, just not the editing!

When I first looked at the image I immediately thought I didn't like it. After a second look, I think Albertonman may be correct, the over-exposed shoes are kind of killing it. It's hard to make out any detail and make the connection of their shared love of old school shoes. Would like to see a color version too.

i didnt mean they like old school shoes, i meant they like old timey baseball and also they like shoes. The shoes are hot but the rest of the scene is so dark if i make more global changes i lose too much of everything else.

it is part of a much larger set, i guess its just not a good shot. thanks

The depth of field is so shallow, if you hadn't told me what the scene was, I'd have had a very difficult time figuring out that they were at a ball game....

Shoes have no detail. Would like to see the original.

The back of the people are mostly noise, shoes are hot, picture looks underexposed, looks out of focus and I'm not a fan of the processing. Other than that I love the concept.

I agree with ChuckingFluff. The concept is terrific. I would love to see the OP take another go at it, it could be a great image.

There is no story in this photo. You can't tell that they are at a ball game, you can't tell that the subjects are a boy & girl and you can barely see that they are holding hands. -rick

Season's over now for the Marlins....If they really are into old school, maybe they should become Tigers fans.
