Looking for Whitetails in Shenandoah?? <moved>

I will be in Shenandoah Park this Oct and will be looking for some Whitetails to photograph at some point in the trip. I will staying in Massanutten. Does anybody have an idea where to start I have never been there before. I normaly go to Cades Cove every year but this year going somewhere different.

Open to all advice for trip. Thanks!

By all means, don't miss Big Meadows. Should have no trouble getting all the deer pics you want..........oh, and by the way, I will be in Cades Cove and Cataloochee this weekend. Can't wait.

I saw 3 this past weekend.......even more exciting to me were the rutting elk at Cataloochee. WOW.

The rut in Catalochee is now over ..... The bear in Cades Cove are EVERYWHERE right now ...... I saw 30 on Thursday alone. The down side are the number of people there right now ... it is nuts!

As for Shenandoah .... They are now collaring the deer? A friend has told me that the best and most easily worked bucks have now been collared .... just before this year's rut!
