oc auto show at anaheim stadium is free until friday.

Correction: Anaheim Convention Center.

Its pretty small as usual. Seems to be getting smaller every year. There are test drives. Mazda has a hydrolic simulator set up to lap Laguna Seca in a Mazdaspeed 3. Jeep has a really cool set-up with ride alongs indoors. Overall a very small show. Also, watch the $12 parking.

I was debating if I should go. But it means taking a day off work and a long drive.
If it's that small, perhaps I should wait for the LA Auto Show next month.

Any one plan on being on-hand when the Shuttle is towed down the street?
Might be cool but the police plan to have an off-limit buffer zone around the shuttle while it's towed. Not sure how that might hinder a photo-op.

I went today. It wasn't too crowded, but the format is the same as it was as last year.

this year is slightly different.
1) parking is free if you park across the street from the hilton at the disney convention center parking lot, not the parking lot next to the convention center as that is $12.
2) stop by the ford booth to sign up for the $50 test drive rewards. (basically, test drive a car at ford and you will get a $50 visa card for free. (they have this every year.)
3) freebies: flashlights at toyota test drive, jeep has green totes, hyundai has dashboard mats for placing cellphones, if you test drive a ford, you get a compact bag and a $10 food voucher.

don't bring a crap load of camera gear. One body, one lens: plenty of light.

i have the 70-200 and the 1.4 on my crop which I have used before, but it always seems just a tad too short. I am saving for the 300 F4 but for now limited to what I have.
