I have been looking for a new lens for the graduation of my sister (yes I know that it's not till next year but it only happens once!) I live in stillwater,ok and have been looking for lens rentals for my t2i but because it's Oklahoma I'm thinking that I'm going to have to rent online. Do you guys know anywhere I could rent from online that has reliable products and sensible?

Thanks, Logan

http://www.lensrentals.com/ (external link) and http://www.borrowlenses.com/ (external link) are probably your best bet!

I've had great luck with LensRentals.com. I've rented several lens from them just to try out at a week a clip. They are very quick to ship, nice shipping and return package, about average on price.

After several rentals I settled on the 17-55mm because of the flexibility of lensrental. I tried borrowlenses once and had no real probs but lensrental came out cheaper and quicker for about the same price.

The folks from Lensrentals are very professional, very reliable.

it seems like you have enough time to put away a small amount of money every week and actually buy something instead of renting...

Logan, for what you will end up paying in rental and shipping fee's you'd be better off purchasing something used.

You didn't mention what lens you need but a used 50 1.8 can be purchased for just a little more than most every lense you can rent online(shipping is the killer). Otherwise, you'd be paying a rental fee 1/4 the amount that a used Canon 18-135mm or Canon 28-135mm or Tamron 28-75mm 2.8 would cost. Those are all nice lenses with the later being stellar on a crop camera and for portraits. I've owned/own all three.

Otherwise, I've used LensRentals as well and they are top notch.

OOOPs, I didn't realize the thread was so old........

In my experience most HS and College graduations I've attended require a 70-200 or 70-300 tele-zoom. Last college graduation I attended, I took my 28-135 and it was inadequate when my son was on the stage getting his diploma. -rick
