haha... yea i have that on my list too. i have a few wishlists of what i want and thats on the can't afford it yet list.

I have looked into the 3rd party nes but some of the posts about cheap grip failures are making me rethink getting one right now.

I'd worry less about accessorizing and more about photographing. ;) I swear that some people buy things just so they can buy more things for those things haha.

That said, check out this thread: https://photography-on-the.net …42579&highlight=accessory

I'd consider looking at a rocket blower or lenspen - both are always handy.

Bottom line...go out and take photos and the little nick nacks will become obvious. Don't forget it is on accessories where the stores make a killing and they love people coming in with their wallets wide open. They'll take you to the cleaners with all the assessory garbage that is out there these days.

You've got a tripod, right?

Yeah. Not really an "accessory".

Good advice. If you keep hanging out here you will generate a more or less infinite list of accessories that you can't possibly live without.

If you go out and shoot with what you have you may come back in a little while with a couple of items on your list that would really be useful.

As mentioned earlier here, Lenspen and Rocket Blower are two must-haves.

I would also get a CF card.. the pictures last so much longer if you have a place to write them to when you take them. Although the shutter sound in itself is pretty sweet without a card as the buffer never gets full if I'm not mistaken.

A card reader, and a bag(good luck finding one!) are also must haves in my opinion.

I'd consider looking at a rocket blower

I bought one three weeks ago, it looks odd, but it blew away all the dust flecks I had on my mirror. Just make sure to angle the camera towards when using it, that way any dust coming loose will fall away from the camera and not deeper inside.

My favorite accessory is my handstrap, no more neck pain, and it makes the camera feel like an extension of my hand, a great buy.
