Thanks Russ. It's all because of people like you here in our 60D family. I miss David(Rivest)... I wonder what he's doing right now. Also wonder how's his 5D... i remembered he accidentally dropped it.

I did a photoshoot of my friend and his brother yesterday. I think it went pretty well but we'll see how it looks on the big screen. Lol.

Also, I did some test shots of my boyfriend beforehand, and I think there is something wrong with my 85 :( it is really soft wide open and even when I stop it down to 2.8. I don't think I'm that unsteady and miss focus that often (took about 10 pictures and just 1 or 2 seemed ok), and I remember a lot of photos from my brother's photoshoot were soft. I ended up having to use my Sigma 30.

Anyone know how much it would cost to send a lens in and does anyone have experience with Canon in that regard? Wondering if it would cost so much that I would be better off buying a new lens. Unfortunately I bought it used so no warranty.

thanks vinz that was my 24-105. i just love that lens it was good on the 60d but on the 5d it comes alive.

i'm also considering that lens for my 5D. I'm just worried about the f4. I was thinking indoor i'll use flash anyway but i might not be able to blur the background as much.

what do you think?

maybe try to find someone else with a Canon EOS and see if its soft using their body...
if its an improvement - then perhaps its front or back-focusing - which could be the lens - or - your lens on 'your' body. Lensrentals.com says lots of bodies are not perfect - so it comes down to a lens could be soft on your body but sharper on someone else's...

good luck

T'sup 60D people, family.

Thought I'd give some news. I'm super busy with a huge project, I call it Halloween Fest.

I started a new thread about it, have a look, you won't be disappointed. It's awesome.

Halloween Fest - A Photodr presentation

Let me know what you think. I'm spending so much time on that, I think it'll be worth it.

David.

Hey David I was just wondering how you're doing. Good to know you have a huge project. How's your 5D? Was it fix?

Well back from shoot here a two super quick edits. If the second one is to much let me know and I'll take it down. Love to hear any feedback, I've gone for a bit of grain in the second to see how it looked. I'm not sure lol
