My favourite location for night sky photography,Loch More,Caithness,North Scotland.

Its not aurora as this is looking southwest.The green is in the raw image too and most times were out here we get a green tinge on the horizon.I thought it was maybe air glow.

Stunning,LM of around 7 but if you go about 10 to 15 miles further in the rough direction the photo is looking then the LM is nearer 8 so the skies are as dark as you can get really and much darker than the Galloway dark sky park.
The milky Way stands out like a shiny silver ribbon,its fantastic to see.

Thanks mate,sadly after several years the upsidedown boat is no longer there.Used to make a good seat to watch the sunsets and stars.
