THis is very nice Gonzo...I peaked at your EXIF...May I ask how you lit the subject and did this require an ND filter to shoot at 1/200th and f/2.8? If so which one? Thanks, nice shot!

So... who said this is not L lens quality? Tack sharp all the time! The more I use it the more I like it...

I've never heard anyone say anything but how incredible the 135 is...

This particular shot didnt require a ND filter. I took it at about 5:20 in the evening, which with the fading fall light is close to the golden hour. The yellow trees were in the sun, but the subjects were in the shade. I just lit them from the front left with a 24 inch softbox with a 580exII. I used ETTL for this shot (I usually use manual for OCF) because the girl is autistic and has a short attention span. In retrospect I wish I had gelled the flash with a 1/2 CTO gel.

Thanks. Gotta take advantage of the fall colors when you can.

You are absolutely right. That is a gorgeous shot! Your story about that little girl really adds something special to this picture as well.

As always, great shots to be found here!

Maureen, that Vitex is huge! Bet the purple flowers were intoxicating while your grandson was busy building roads huh? ;)

Chris, great shot...love all that purple she's wearing, even her hair! Outstanding!

And yes Gonzogolf, excellent shot, dreamy perfect lighting...definately a wall hanger and a large one at that!

And what a nice out-the-window grab shot! The bokeh, always the bokeh, does anyone know if the 200 f/2 compares favorably?
